Having worked with youth for over 20 years, Roy Eiermann strives to help children, adolescents, and families grow to their fullest potential. Throughout his career he has helped kids, teens, and parents address their unique challenges in outpatient counseling, residential, and wilderness settings. He earned his Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in 2008 and focused his work on addressing trauma, depression, and anxiety. During this time, he also found a passion for working with children as young as 3 years of age, utilizing elements of play in the therapy room. Prior coming to EDGE Counseling Solutions Roy also specialized in working with youth involved in the juvenile justice system, taking the time to develop trusting relationships with those struggling with delinquent behaviors, aggression, trauma, and substance use.
Roy is a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Illinois. In addition, he is a S.P.A.R.C.S. (Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress) trained clinician who integrates Play Therapy, Sand Tray, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Trust-Based Relational Interventions to promote healing and wellness within the individual and family.
